Second Week

On the second week, we were assisted in A-Jarn Nonguch class in Mathayom 1.1 and 1.2. I helped A-Jarn Nonguch when she gives some task to students. In this week, A-Jarn Nonguch taught cosmetic topic and heat topic. The students made a presentation about definition, classification, structure, and benefit from cosmetic, and for heat topic, the students learned about the formula of a quantity of heat. A-Jarn Nonguch taught them by lecturing method because she said that it’s difficult to make students understand if we did not do the lecturing method, especially for the calculation topic. After A-Jarn Nonguch given some example, students solved the question from textbook and after it, they will discuss. I helped some students to solve that question that they think it’s difficult for them.

I have been met with some internship students from Udon Thani Rajabhat University that teach in Science Departement at Satrirachinuthit School. They are Phi Gack, Phi Krathin, Phi Eye, Phi Net, and Phi Kong. They are very kind to me and always help me when I am in trouble. I’m feeling lucky to meet with them.

On Tuesday, the students choose the best teacher and the best advisor in Satrirachinuthit School because on Wednesday was a teacher day, and we don’t go to school on Wednesday because of its holiday. So, on Wednesday I just stay in my dorm to take a rest.

While I was assisting the Mathayom 1.1 and 1.2, I was taught the Indonesian language to them because I want to search some communicative experience here for my university, because I will program the teaching experience and communicative experience subject on this semester. So, when I go back to Indonesia, I will don’t do communicative experience subject again. I was taught how to spell alphabet and some words in Indonesia language. The students were funny and enjoy my Indonesian language class, they ask some word that I’ll translate it to Indonesian language, even the “I love you” word in the Indonesian language. I was a great experience for me to teach foreign students about the Indonesian language, Indonesian culture, and tourist destinations like Borobudur temple, Toba Lake, Toraja, Makassar, Bali Island, etc. I observed A-Jarn Soom class in Mathayom 1.3 in heat transfer topic. By observed her class, I get some experience that the students will be spirit when we give them a reward.

We feel lucky to be a Student-Teacher Exchange program in Udon Thani, because on Friday, January 18th it was the birthday of 126 years of Udon Thani Province. So, there is a lot of people that go to the monument of Udon Thani founder and it’s nearby Udon Thani Rajabhat University. All of male, female, and even child was wearing an orange Thai clothe and do the Thai dancing around that statue. We felt lucky because it just 1 time every year, and we can see it.

On Saturday we were going to the city tour by a term. We visited Wat Pho Thi Som Porn, Udon Thani Museum, and Chinese Temple. The Udon Thani Museum is the first building of Satrirachinuthit School, and it built 99 years ago.
